Just want to point out that serious animal rights advocates are just as angry as--if not even angrier than--everyone else about the PETA billboard. I wrote about it today and included a roundup of posts by animal advocates on the issue: http://animalrights.change.org/blog/view/dear_peta_were_awaiting_your_apologies

I agree with Stephanie. What she expressed was my second thought after, "How bizarre!". We all need to stay calm on this one. Activists need to work together for change, not against each other.

I don't understand the controversy. The woman in the billboard is the average size woman in my area. What blubber?

Hell Freezes Over-ies ! you're insensitive to the needs of women who need to finish graduate school! Although both mammals have potentiality, the whales are more innocent than the off-spring of humans and need protecting that other mammals don't deserve!
