Friday Femme Fatale: Mammograms, Pink Taxis & Lap Dances

I don't know about most of you, but I spent a majority of this week battling a terrible cold. No, it wasn't the "Swine Flu" - but hopefully my writing this week hasn't suffered too much under the influence of various cold medications. You'll have to tell me...
Anyways, here's the latest news in the women's rights arena, just in case anyone tells you the "battle of the sexes" is over:

"How the Media Treat Murder," good point. This is not solely racial-discrimination, but gender and financial as well. Poverty and homelessness play a large role in what, (the media believes,) Americans will take an interest in. I guess the part about black women's safety in this area, takes a back-seat, to college football or Wall Street's success. No offence to the South, but I've met a few of, "the good old boys," and regardless of ethnicity, most have managed to offend me with their sexist mentality. I have no problem with traditional family values. I do have a problem with raising females to depend on men, when so many refuse to take responsibility and act like men.
I hope this article will be read by the vast majority on this blog. It's important from every angle, not just women's rights.

Women are either domestic house pets or femme fatales (the femme fatale being the preferable of the two), with no room for real women in fiction. My site explores many areas of women's rights; please read my article on Femme Fatales: Sirens and Slaves at www.SheWord.com
